Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22+ Care for the Future Environmentally Sustainable

As a device, Samsung can be said to be the most environmentally friendly, the Galaxy S22 5G series pioneers cellular technology while supporting planet earth.

To note, plastic pollution poses a serious threat to the environment, and discarded fishing nets are very dangerous for marine and marine life.

By collaborating with leading organizations, Samsung helps recover discarded fishing nets and turn them into high-performance materials for Samsung smartphones.

Material used in Galaxy S22 5G series components, key bracket – contains 20% recycled plastic from fishing nets dumped into the sea. The Galaxy S22 series also incorporates post-consumer recycled materials in its speaker module, as well as the inside of the power and volume buttons.

In addition to ocean-bound plastic, Samsung uses 100% recycled paper for packaging the Galaxy S22 5G series and includes a protective film made from recycled plastic. Each smartphone case is also designed with UL certified and environmentally friendly materials – such as post-consumer recycled plastic or bio-based materials.

The innovation is the latest example of Samsung's commitment to do more with less as part of Galaxy for the Planet.

Get to know Silky Home, One-Handed Mode on Android for Big Screen Smartphones

Silky home is a mode that allows one-handed use on a large smartphone screen. Content will be moved to the bottom, making it easier to operate large screen phones.

Since the release of the Android 12 developer preview last week, Android is rumored to be bringing an interface or User Interface (UI) using a silky home mode.

The use of silky home mode is a sign that the operating system will serve a larger Android screen which is a sign of the presence of the Pixel 6 XL this year.

This mode is reportedly hidden in the UI settings. The element is placed near the bottom to enable the silky home feature flag.

The developer preview of Android 12 brings a hidden UI similar to Samsung's One UI.

For those unfamiliar with One UI, the software is designed to bring interface elements such as buttons, toggles, checkboxes, icons, sliders, bars and their position closer to the bottom of the screen.

In this way, users don't have to bother moving their fingers to tap one of the elements at the top of the screen.

This feature update can be used on other Android phones that have giant screens.

Based on a hidden code found in the first developer preview of Android 12, the new operating system plans to bring an in-display fingerprint scanner and facial recognition capabilities to the Pixel 6.

Meanwhile, the code in the developer preview mentions the registration of the two security features, namely Face Unlock and fingerprint unlock. However, the existence of the code does not mean there is a guarantee that Google will bring the feature.

The reason is, Android 12 is still in the first developer preview stage. The Android Open Source Project team is working on a hibernation feature that is useful for reducing the memory footprint of unused applications.

When a single user on a multi-user device chooses to hibernate an app, the app cache associated with that user is cleared, freeing up memory space.

However, it's not yet known how the feature works when all Android device users hibernate apps, especially since most devices only have a setting for one user.

In addition, this hibernation feature appears to be completely unrelated to the hibernation function offered by a number of apps which functions to pause apps similar to Android's built-in feature, Doze state to rest apps.***
